Fantasy Story: Ride The Griffin

Ride The Griffin is short story written by YW Purnomosidhi. It is a story about self control and development.

It is story of Patrick Shamrock's last mid semester tasks to receive the sword of knight. Patrick had to learn to ride the griffin, write the manual to ride the griffin, and join super animal race championship. To accompany Patrick, Master Smarasanta sent Petroox, a musician for paradise.

In this fantasy story, the writer combines fairytale characters from western and east culture. Griffin is crypted animal of western culture whereas Ahool is giant bad from south east asia's myth.

Ghandarva, term for paradise musician, is from Indian mythology whereas elf is from west culture.

Accept Yourself and Explore Power of Uniqueness

Metamorphosis is the change of shape in animal's life cycle.



Human being does not experience metamorphosis but he changes in his life cycle. All hopes that in their life cycle they become better. In life cycle, someone needs to accept his uniqueness and develop himself to be better without changing himself to be others.

You cannot be the other. If you can, you cannot find your hidden treasure and explore the best of you.

It is essential to accept yourself, develop your uniqueness, realize the power of uniqueness and be your best self.

Appreciation is Good Motivator for Others

Appreciation to others plays important role in business. In organization, if we do not appreciate those who have performed good service or disrespected them, others will start not to believe in you. It can harm trust of your employees.
Appreciation is also a kind of motivation. To include appreciation in your policy is to make your policy become motivator to enhance your employees' performance.

What is Easter?

Easter refers to celebration of Pesakh or Passover. It is related to Jesus's resurrection for salvation and freedom of children of God from slavery. The essence of easter is resurrection - resurrection of new life, resurrection which refers to salvation and freedom.

In this era, we can enjoy the facilities from Informational Technology. With IT, we can enjoy efficiency in our effort. We do not need to waste time, money and space to save, receive, and spread data. We can spread word of mouse. Meaning to say, to spread information and make it word of mouth. However, we must be wise when spreading information. We must use information technology for better life.

Young Mice Manage Line is short fable story based on 7th divination of Jayabaya's 12th century Javanese Prophecy : "Tikus Pithi Anata Baris" which happens today. "Tikus pithi anoto baris" means line up rows of red rat or "young mice manage lines."

Itu adalah petikan baris kitab Pususadhasanta atau Sutasoma, yang di tulis oleh Mpu Tantular.

Di jaman sekarang masih saja ada orang yang alergi keberagaman dan perbedaan, mereka terlalu ngarep ama yang namanya keseragaman.

Jangankan golongan, suku, atau agama yang berbeda, dua orang dalam kepercayaan atau kelompok yang sama pun bisa memiliki pikiran beragam. Nah loh, kasian kan kalo memperpanjang ego kita dengan mencari-cari pengakuan dari orang lain tentang apa yang kita yakini dan jalani. Kita ingin segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan kita dianggap lebih.. ini.. lebih itu.. tetapi kita sendiri tidak mau menghargai orang lain.. bukan menghargai deh, minimal membiarkan.

Mau tak mau, keberagaman memang ada, sudah ada, dan akan selalu ada, jadi jika kita alergi dengan keberagaman mungkin kita terjangkit bhinnekaphobia dan perlu minta surat dokter.

Bless in Failure

According to TheFreeDictionary.com, The definition of failure is the condition or fact of not achieving the desired end or ends.


Whereas to fail means to prove deficient or lacking; perform ineffectively or inadequately; to be unsuccessful.

When we seek other people's approval, failure is something disgraceful or terrifying. Sometimes, in professional or educational life, our environment spread fear of failure. Actually, they want us to make improvement to do something better but fear of failure gives bad influence to our subconscious mind; we become afraid to do something innovative; we are afraid to try something new; we are afraid to be proactive; subconsciously, out fear creates block toward our creativity.

Fear is sabotage. We must overcome it. We must deal with fear. We must deal with failure. We should dare to fail. Open up your heart and mind to find bless in failure.

Be Uniquely Your Best Self and Celebrate Diversity

To unite does not mean to be the same with others. You do not need to be others. You must be your best self.


The uniqueness in unity can be beautiful and powerful. We need to respect, tolerate, be peace with, be in harmony, and love the others' difference. We can use love and peace becomes our vision to unite in diversity.

Relationship: Is it about High Quality or Just Compatibility?

Some of us has no confident in relationship because they only see their weak point, have many experience of mockery or rejection, or compare themselves with others. Perhaps, our system teach us as if the one who deserved relationship was the one who had quality, and start to think that we do not have relationship because of low quality (financially, intellectually, physically).

This assumption makes us try harder to improve quality to seek approval to get nice relationship. The problem is that we sacrifice ourselves and we do not become ourselves. There is tendency to act poker face and sacrifice in order to be nice person.
If you love to do it, just do it. But the problem is that many nice guys forced themselves. They do not become themselves and seek approval. While it's the time to wide opportunity to have relationship with those who accept as they are, they become needy to the women who reject them.

This problem is called nice guy syndrome. You can google the information about Nice Guy Syndrome.

You deserve to love or to be loved as the way you are. You need self development but you do not need to kill your character.

See! Many non-handsome people and fat man also have harmony relationship. You do not need to be six-packed man to get love. if you want to have six-packed stomach, do it just for you and for your health. Do not do it to seek approval from others. You do not need to be rich man to love or to be loved by women. However, you need to improve your financial life but don't do it to get love. Don't curse yourself if you are not rich nor handsome.

You can learn to develop you character in relationship. But sometimes, relationship is not about quality. It is a gift through compatibility.

Learn and Learn. Be your best self!
